Rottweeler Information

Rules

Points
Points for each race will be based on the number of people who attend the race. For example, if twelve riders start the race the points will be awarded as 12, 11, 10, 9, 8......

In the event that less than 10 riders show up the finish points will be awarded as 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, ....
Additional points are awarded for sprint premiums during the road races.  The placing, location, and  sprint points will be determined by the Road Race crew when the course is set up.

"Road TT" Vs. "Mountain TT" Vs. "Road Race" Vs. "Gravel TT" Vs."Multi-Surface TT"
Separate points totals will be kept for each category with the exception of multi surface where the points will be split between Road, Gravel, and Mountain TTs.

Dropping of races
You can drop as many as you want.

Timers
Some races may have a timer assigned to it.   If you can't make it, you are requested to find an alternate timer. The timer is responsible for recording the results and sending the results via email to the race dispatcher and web guy. The race result dispatcher has the official distribution list of the TT riders and will send the results out to everyone.

Rain Policy
If it looks like rain, snow, tornadoes, or high heat we may not want to risk racing that day. The "Timer for the day" (or the Race Director for self timed rides) has the final say. He/she must make the decision by 1:30PM the day of the race. The decision is final. If the timer (or Race Director for self timed rides) doesn't cancel the race by 1:30PM, the decision to hold the race transfers to said ad hock race committee, consisting of those huddled in cars waiting for the rain to stop. The ad hock race committee votes at 5:00PM. A simple majority is required for a decision.

Hokancellation
A suspicious cancellation, otherwise known as a Hokancellation may not be initiated for "possible severe downdraft winds" or "probable thunder storms" during what appears to be balmy weather.  Craig and Jim will have veto power over any suspicious cancellations.

Start Time
The official start time for timed and self timed rides is 5:30.   For self timed rides each rider is responsible for communicating their results to the race dispatcher or whoever assumes responsibility for collecting the times the night of the race.

Early or Late Starts
We will allow early or late starting 'self-timed' rides for Rottweeler's who can't make the 5:30 start times. Please report your times as quickly as you can.  A blog post would be appreciated.
